How to Plan an Engagement Photoshoot with a Classic Car in Dripping Springs
A classic car gives an engagement photoshoot deep paint, polished chrome and a Hill Country backdrop. We're ATX Classic Cars, based in Dripping Springs, and here is how to plan yours.
Which car suits your style?
1968 Cadillac DeVille ("The Duchess"): formal, black-tie sessions
1955 Ford Thunderbird: a two-seater for romantic close-ups
1966 Ford Mustang ("Sally"): casual and playful
1971 Ford Bronco ("Rowdy"): ranch, barn and country settings
1964 Chevy Corvair ("Ralphie"): light-hearted and retro
Best time and place
Shoot in the hour before sunset or in the early morning, when the light is soft and the Texas heat is lower. Good settings include a Hill Country ranch road, a barn or stone farmhouse, an oak-lined drive, or a quiet downtown Austin street early in the morning. Check that your venue allows vehicles.
Does the car need to be driven?
Not always. The car is often parked and posed, and some sessions add a slow drive-by. Tell us which you want when you book.
How much does it cost?
Our rentals start at $895 for a 2-hour, 75-mile chauffeured trip. Every rental includes a professional chauffeur and $1M per-occurrence and $2M general liability insurance.
