Classic Car Rental Guidelines: Insurance, Mileage and Fees
Every rental is insured with $1M per-occurrence and $2M general liability coverage.
ATX Classic Cars, based in Dripping Springs, TX, rents chauffeured classic cars for weddings, events and photoshoots in Austin and the Texas Hill Country. These guidelines explain what is included, what fees apply, how the two-hour rental works, and what happens in bad weather.

What Is Included in Every Rental
All cars include a professional driver in the rental cost. Gas and tolls are included. Tips for the driver are always welcome.
Your driver will be dressed in professional attire and will show up 30 minutes prior to the agreed time.
How Many Miles Are Included
All cars include 75 miles, measured from our Dripping Springs location and back. Extra miles can be purchased for an added fee of $3 per mile in excess of 75 miles.
Insurance Fee and Texas Sales Tax
Two additional fees apply to every rental: a 10% insurance fee and Texas state sales tax of 10%.
Our Insurance Coverage
ATX Classic Cars carries commercial insurance to cover the safety of our clients. In addition to $1,000,000 of coverage per occurrence, ATX carries general liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000.
How the Two-Hour Rental Works
All fees are for two hours, which start from the time the driver arrives at your destination and end when you are dropped off at your final destination. The same amount is charged if you use 15 minutes or the full two hours.
Rentals have a two-hour minimum. Additional time can be purchased in half-hour increments.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel by contacting ATX Classic Cars, and the cancellation takes effect immediately. If you cancel with at least 96 hours’ notice, you are responsible for the booking fee and credit card fees. If you cancel with less than 96 hours’ notice, the full rental fee is charged.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of at least $250 is required before your rental. For a credit card it is a pre-authorization hold, and for a debit card the amount is deducted, usually when you book, or 7 days before the trip if your rental is more than a week away. The deposit is reversed 72 hours after the car is returned in the condition you first rented it.
Weather and Rain Policy
If weather conditions are unsafe, we will provide a heads-up as soon as possible so you can make alternative plans.
Please note the 1955 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn does not go out in the rain. If you have rented the Silver Dawn and it is raining, you can either select another car or we will refund your money.
Our Guarantee
We take pride in maintaining our cars, and all cars are in good operating condition and roadworthy. However, they are classics and things happen. If there is a mechanical issue, an alternative vehicle or a full refund will be offered.
Photo and Media Permission
ATX Classic Cars is granted permission to use any likenesses of the renter(s) or passengers in a photograph, video, or other digital media ("photo") in any and all of its publications, including social media and web-based publications, without payment or other consideration.
